A production cel from the Marvel Studios animated series "X-Men" (1992-1997). Featuring a fabulous image of Jean Grey using her telekinetic powers to stop the Blackbird from crashing onto the city streets, the hand-painted cel was created at the studio and used during the animation process. The cel is an actual frame of animation that was photographed and appears in the eighth episode of season two, titled "Time Fugitives (Part 2 of 2)." Measuring 13.5"x18" overall, with the character image measuring 6.25"x7.25", the cel is in very good condition with minor paint transfer, bottom edge wear, adhesive along the top edge and near character image, and a small crack on the top left corner. The character image was trimmed to image and re-applied to a new cel layer by the studio to reanimate the sequence during production. The cel is paired with a color printed reproduction background.
